Original Swedish oil on canvas. Mid-century still life with striking contrasting colors and shadows. Depicted against a dark blue background, six beautifully shaped golden apples are the central point of the painting, part of a play on light and shadow. There is a slight reflection in the lower part of the canvas, otherwise the surface on which the apples sit blends in with the rest of the background, creating a “floating” effect.
