Original vintage Swedish oil on canvas by Ragnar FALK (1903-1977), signed lower right. A delicate still life with a teapot, lemons, a potted plant, and a rose in a glass vase, masterfully rendered in his characteristic style. It looks almost as if his brush barely touched the canvas, and yet, the objects on the table take shape in soft pastel colors.

Born in Gothenburg, Sweden, FALK was the son of a coppersmith. He was educated at the Handicraft Association in his native city, and later continued his studies through trips to other European countries, including Italy and France. FALK held multiple exhibitions in Sweden throughout his career, showcasing his still lifes, landscapes, and portraits. A member of the Swedish Artists’ National Organization, and of the Gothenburg Artists’ Club, his work can now be seen in several public collections in Sweden.
